Messed up Visual Studio IDE???

April 27th, 2006 by admin | No Comments | Filed in .NET, Mobile, Software

Ok…
I am sure no one but me has ever closed Solution Explorer…
Tried to add it back…
Then it appears on the bottom…
Then can never get the windows on the right to be back the way you want them…

If you want to correct this… It is simple once you know how…  Thanks Chris Craft

Visual Studio 2003
Click Tools… Then Options…
Then Click the button “Reset Window Layout”
This will set all your IDE windows back to default.

Sql 2005 Remote Connectivity

April 21st, 2006 by admin | No Comments | Filed in .NET, Database, Mobile

Looks like the default for SQL 2005 is to not allow remote connections.
I found this out when a co-worker tried to get to one of my databases.

You can modify this by using the SQL Server Configuration Manager
Under Network Configuration, then Protocols for MSSQLSERVER
The TCP/IP Protocol needs to be Enabled. (or Named Pipes if you use it)

You will need to restart SQL Server for these settings to be applied.

Congrats Jacob Reeder

Jacob hit his first Home Run of his life this morning in his T-Ball game. The ball rolled almost to the fence. That boy was running… ;-) I was behind home plate and as he was running from third base to home… he was smilling from ear to ear… I love watching him play… His smiling makes me smile the entire game. He was also in a wedding today so I included a picture of the handsome fella…

Wow.. What an awesome day!!!

My day started at 5:30 when the alarm sounded… ok… that was not so awesome.

The rest of the day was…

I went to The Greater Pee Dee Prayer Breakfast to hear Tony Evans. That was a blessing to my heart. It gave me the strength to finish the day and motivated me to be the best dad I can be. Thanks Tony Evans for coming to Florence, SC.

Next was work… Let’s skip that part… Well… there was a good part… 5:00 PM.. Time to go home. ;-)

Susanne and I had baby sitters (Thanks Mr. & Mrs. Holladay)… So we were able to tail-gate before the Third Day & David Crowder Band Concert. Fellowship & Food…

David Crowder & Third Day both put on a great show… Thanks to both for coming to Florence, SC. Please come back often.

Then, we all went to IHOP for more fellowship and food.

Thank you Jesus for a wonderful day.

You can check out their myspace to hear some of their music.
